I also like the F8's rockets for deacking.

Seems the rockets have a better flight path and don't drop as quickly as normal HVAR's.

Taters are great for it too. Can de-ack a small airfield with a K4 and still have 40+ taters left.
You will ruin your fighter score by doing that though :D

You can practice shooting the ack in the TA in the dive bombing area. If you can manage to shoot down all town ack in two passes with 10 rockets, you are good enough to even bother taking rockets with you in the MA. Just practice a lot and try to find an optional sight that fits your needs. Getting all the town ack in one pass and 7 rockets is hard but its possible. Take a couple hours doing just that and you will become good at it.

Usually, I shoot my rockets by simple instinct (just "feel" your speed and dive angle) and 90% of the time, they will hit the target. When i'm not sure if a rocket will hit, ill just shovel one more at a slightly different angle in the most likely target's bulls-eye direction.

Another good trick to not get shot yourself by the ack (either with rocket or gun passes) is to predict when the targeted ack will fire and at the same time pull up and down slightly to make its rounds misslead you. This will double your chances of survival in a close up gun pass on a field or town. If if pass about 100ft above one that you missed, you are pretty much screwed as well. So, prioritize the ones you know you must pass over once your attack run is done.

there is a sight, named jabo sight, that have two dots.
One to aim vs planes, and another to hit ground target.

CC SlapShot,

Those are gunsights i said.

After a practice with one of them, R
ipShot You will able to draw Your own with or without the bottom dot.
So I made.

I dont' know if it works well with p38s too.
To check this You can observe the green lead gunsight in Training Arena (TA)
when You use rockets on p38s there. If not You can draw a correct gunsight.

Can any of those sights be used to aim all rocket types or are they rocket/crate specific?

As long as your head is not at the same distance from the gunsight every time you shoot rockets, they will never land in the same spot (for a given speed and angle) although its a pretty good aid nonetheless.

I typically fly Navy planes, so it probably work best with them.

When I JABO or use the rockets on a target, I like to typically get into an approx 45 degree dive ... with that, the bottom site will be a pretty accurate guide.

When deacking a field with the rockets, I fire the rocket(s) off when the ack just starts shooting at me. Any + or - off 45 degrees will need to be compensated by bringing the dot above or below the target ... shooting from long distance will also needs more nose up when firing.

Any JABO/Rocket sight has its own optimal range/angle ... you just have to pick one and practice with it until you feel comfortable with how it works for you under differing circumstances.
