Spit V Cockpit Visual Bug

Last night in the spit5 I noticed at the base of the armored wind screen that there was a light blue line under it on each side of the gun sight. Looks like I can see through the to the outside. If it's only my video card then my apologies.

Did you just overwrite the driver or did you do a proper uninstall? I have found some strange things with this driver also but I'm going to do more testing before I go back. One is sitting in a tank under a bridge certain angles bridge disappears not a bad thing. I have noticed some stutters also.

After 20 years of playing on HiTechs coad and having supported video cards and sound cards, how many of you uninstall your drivers then...reboot into safe mode, run a driver sweeper specific to the brand of video card or sound card...then reboot and run a registry cleaner before running the new install? Especially since most tech supports won't do much with you unless you have the latest drivers and patches cleanly installed.

Additionaly on the spit16 sometimes I could see through the aleron seem but not since I changed my FOV last thursday from default to 115. Haven't checked the spit5 since I changed the FOV to see if the blue gaps are gone. I did find a newer Display driver for my LG monitor which now causes the system to see it as an LG L227 instead of PnP. I'll check the spit5 again because the issue could have been my old monitor driver. Windows 7 is a bit different than XP I'm rapidly learing.

By the way I also ran CUDA based memory tests against the GTX 275 memory for 3 hours to make sure it wasent that along with 12 hours of system memory tests from a boot CD along with 3 hours of total system stress tests to eliminate my hardware. I run background video card active monitoring during the game to warn me of high load states or over heating events. Aces High never gets my card's fan above the default 40% or activate any alarm states. I was getting a TDR timeout in nvlddmkm.sys which would lockup the screen for 30 secunds but, running the registry cleaner seems to have stopped that. I doubt NVIDIA will give me the symbols to debug for thier driver. I like how Win7 recovers the system back to the game when a TDR event happens. Nicer than XP BSOD's or critical application error closing down the game with a dump out to the desktop or worse.

Figured out what it is. Whatever color the hood over the engine is painted a tiny bit of that surface extends back into the cockpit and can be seen on each side under the gunsight below the armored wind screen. I was using the blue skin so I was seeing a blue line on each side. Changed through a number of skins and the color changed with them.
