+1 for this idea every one deserves to have their effort and help rewarded in some way, and lets face it seeing the word assist isn't a reward it is almost a snide better luck next time thing -.- Where as with a small perk attached to it modified ofcoarse by your rides eny and his eny and it being a form of a fraction like half or a 3rd of a real kill you could make the assist an affirmative thing that people wont be so annoyed with, as not all of the players in this game are extreme perk generating windmills. {I am looking at most of the people on this board.} I am saying just because it doesn't favor you 1v1 or pro's so much doesn't mean the "everybody" deserves to be in the dog house because there not as good as you. I don't care that you all seem to see ganging as a bad thing this is a large team game you work with your allies to defeat your opponents whine and cry when it happens to you but otherwise realize they are on a team and should be encouraged to work together.

you already get damage points.

btw if you give perks out for assists there will be x% more perks floating around. it would then make sense to increase the perk cost for everything by x%. so you're back to square one.

True making perks like that will raise perk inflation but on that same statement a guy making 4 assists will still sooner or later make enough perks to fly something. Btw most of my assists come from killing a target not letting it go. The few cons I let go about 30 percent of the time get awarded to me when I am rtb as some one else finishes my handiwork. Nice for me really really dissapointing for him.

Bronk has landed 2 assists in a FW-190A8 (and took all of his cannon rounds to do so).

Thinking about it some more, name in lights for assists just don't give me the ego boost I need, I wouldn't get enough assists to get my name in lights.

I like the idea I mean it kinda sucks when you shoot a plane's wing off and you get an assist and no perks...

How often does that happen to you? One in ten sorties? Every second sortie? Every sortie?
And keep in mind what's being said earlier... the thing works both ways... you shoot someone, he manages to get away, someone else finishs him off and YOU get the kill & perks ;)

I could care less about perks or points....but getting partial kill credit would be nice  0.25 or 0.5 etc.  Im pretty sure assists were tallied like that in ww2...correct me if i'm wrong

Seems like it happens to me pretty often. But looking at my stats i have 256 total sorties and 87 assists.
But say I can average half a perk per assist thats still 43.5 perks I could of had.
Or even 1/3 of a perk, thats still 29 perks. Thats a pretty good bit of perks.

You guys are simply asking for "more perks" then?  We could also increase perks per kill then... but like someone mentioned earlier: You would have to increase perk price of planes too, thus resetting all your additional gains.

Perks are a gratification for success. An assist is not. Kill the enemy, and you will get the reward. Get better and increase your kill/assist ratio, and you will get more, instead of just asking for more.
