Because after the first shot it's no longer a pricey target.

..and I'm not letting the guy off that easy. If you know you will shoot below by a certain amount then all you have to do is to aim that much higher.

that's exactly what i do when i target shoot my bow.

I want to know what type ammunition they were using. I expected everything to be busted in half.

People shooting at stuff that could ricochet is pure retardation. The gun range that i go to has lots of rocks, and (nothin against you if ya have one) but its usually people with AR15s that shoot at em, and you hear the bullets ricochet. Thats when i pull out my polish M44 and set up next to him, and start shootin. The shockwave will mess up his aim and make him want to leave  :devil

That's hollywood. All the common .50 round types will simply make a hole and plenty of cracks in those three objects and I don't expect them to use anything other than bulk ammunition (ball, best for the entertainment value with this type of targets).

A hollow point round of lesser caliber could be interesting to watch in extreme slow motion.

I don't rely on Hollywood to determine what ammunition can do. I simply listen in on stories from weapons experts. However, I do understand where you're coming from.

Hmmm...stories from weapons "experts"...

I guess stories from experts always work... I am going to go ask Bernie Madoff to tell a few stories of his expertise in investing...
