Interesting 152
« on: June 28, 2010, 06:59:10 PM »
I just got a new book :x
It is The Focke-Wulf Ta-152 by Thomas H. Hitchcock

Great book but it contains a skin profile of an all orange-red Ta-152 H-0 that took a 25 minute armed flight from one field to another. The book has a picture of the signed letter of the pilot and his wingman saying this did take place. Would we be able to get the skin in game?

Been covered here countless times.

Jerry Crandall has been quoted saying that he believes this plane never saw combat while in the red/orange scheme.

ah well, I heard there were other skins that didn't see "combat".

The book is awesome though really a fun read so far.

Something about a hoard of flying Cheetos that makes me cringe. :)

I bought both volumes, but not the signed ones.. I can't stop looking at them whenever I pull them out.  Simply the best aviation reference books every published IMHO.

I'm a sucker for that kind of purchase. I'll go nuts if I know I could have bought the 'next level'.

You mean the two Dora volumes? I agree, absolutely fantastic.

My appologies, I had thought that scan was from Crandall's book.  :huh
