Question about AvA
« on: June 29, 2010, 03:11:25 PM »
I cut my teeth in the AvA for 2 years when it was the CT before ever stepping into any MA. Some of the best maps in the game are in that arean. Does the AvA still run the Okinawa map or that winter russian map?

Okinawa is still being ran, and was ran a few weeks ago. The winter Russia map is not there, but new maps look to be in the future.

The Stalingrad map did not survive the switch to AH2.  It was awesome, though, made you feel cold just flying around on your computer.  Biggest problem was the distance between bases - historically accurate, but not conducive to fighting.  Larry was thinking of making a new version, I believe, but real life priorities took precedence.

Hi!

We have the Fin/Rus spring and winter maps, the BoB, the PTO (several), MTO, a lot to choose from, all very good. The best maps in AH.

Cheers!

I agree that AvA has the best maps. I think i might bring my squad back to AvA. From what Ive heard the atmosphere has changed. Oldman has been around a long time he will know the people im talking about. Back in those days I used to be LwDwn and flew with the Duxford boys.

I had it done twice but the new terrain change and two hard drive crashes put an end to it. I started on it again a while back but without much time to myself and an external hard drive for back up its slow going.  :)
