« on: June 29, 2010, 07:26:44 PM »
Hi everyone, im not to sure if im allowed to put this in here, but please let me know if im not right away,
so here goes, as you all may know, during the war, finland made little if any, of there own tanks, but in the later years relied on captured soviet examples, so my request is for this:

I really dont know anything about the unit unfortunatly, but I will be looking into finn tank divisions as this topic is discused,

thanks for your time guys

I would say not allowed as the rules forbid captured vehicles. Interesting post though. :aok

ah I see, I was thinking that since there was FAF skins for some 109's it would be possible, but after a bit of browsing I guess they were more "left behind" rather than captured, thanks anyways though :)

thats not a swastika, thats finnish military markings, they were in use long before hitler and his lot came around, it is actually known as the von Rosen Cross,  named after the Swedish Count Erich von Rosen, they adopted it as there insignia in 1918

The Bf109s were sold to Finland by Germany when Finland became a co-belligerent against the USSR.

ah I see, I was under the impression that they were under some sort of lend lease program, but were the 109's also used against germany when finland drove them out as one of the conditions for there surrender to russia?

don't get me wrong but i don't remember ever seeing any markings on any paint jobs for any vehicles except Finland? (Germany, Russia, US, Britain all didn't use any country markings on their camo)
