Well now that we know the date it would have been nice to know the answer as to what it was.

if it was a missle, question is who has it, how they got it, and how they got it in America.

You're kidding, right?

I remember when they outlawed the little bottle rockets here because they were "too dangerous". I can buy the equivalent to a clusterbomb on the side of the highway now but none of those damn bottlerockets!!

I think it was wooden shingles that did in the bottle rocket, man I loved those as a kid.

Around here both wood shingles, and bottle rockets are illegal.

I think you're right Shifty. I remember when Plano made people have wood shingles. I guess the ensuing conflagrations made someone stop and think.

I doubt it.

If you look at the history of the bottle rocket and similar devices, and compare it to the history of roof coverings, I think you'll find that rockets and flammable roof coverings have existed and been used at the same time (and in the same places) for several hundred years (maybe even longer).

I'd also think that if the research was done, we'd find wooden shingles have been around longer than flying fireworks.  If the shingles did them in, would bottle-rockets have ever been invented?
