which joystick??

I know this question has probly been asked before,but since im new to aces high or for that matter any flight sims,i need to know which joystick work's best,or what should i be looking for in a joystick.Right now it would be a toss up between msff and a thrustmaster top-gun afterburner.
ps:i have been racing online for 3 years,i had a sidewinfer ff.which i returned because i was deeply disapointed.Thats why althought the top-gun is not ff,i feel it would be better then msff.Looks like the hotas are front runners,but by the time they hit canadian store looks like price wise will be way out of touch.   PLEASE HELP ME in my desicion.....thanks Odie.   :rolleyes:

If you don't need force feedback I would recommend what I use, a Saitek X36 USB. It works on either USB or the gameport, has many programmable buttons and reconditioned sticks are available at this url for $39.95   http://store.yahoo.com/saitekusa/recprod.html
