While Ive been saying since day 1 that its going to be the three of them in Miami, the problem is what is Miami going to do with the rest of the team. While Chris Bosh could play center and leave Beasley at power, what are they going to do about backups. They only have Chalmers and Beasley under contract atm, they cant expect those 5 to play the entire game. Will they have the cap space to sign backups with the possibility of having close to 3 contracts absorbing most of their cap space?
They could sign a few undrafted players for the league minimum (Sharron Collins, Jon Scheyer, Manny Harris, etc...) but I don't really know how much they have. I'm hearing on Arizona sports talk radio that the Heat are trying to trade Beasley to open up some more cap space, so we'll see what happens with that. I don't think they should trade him, he could become a superstar as well with all the open shots he will be getting.
Edit: Beasley makes around 4.5 million, if they get rid of his contract, they could sign many league-minimum players to be their bench, but I like Beasley next year because of the quality of players around him.
