M4A3's both rendered as M4's...?
« on: July 21, 2010, 04:37:20 PM »
This is no great error by any means but did anyone else notice that the M4A3's have the hull of the M4?  The M4A3 had (IIRC) a 47 degree glacis while the M4's had a 60 degree glacis.  A dead giveaway is the driver and co-driver hatches.  In M4A3's the hatches were completely inside the glacis (and larger than the M4's)...the M4 hatches stuck out proud of the Glacis.  Also the M4A3 hatches opened at an angle, ours open perpindicular (or would if they actually could open) to the long axis of the hull.  Again, not a big deal, not even a minor one as far as gameplay is concerned but I was wondering if there's something that I do not know about the rendering regarding these tanks. :bolt:

Was discussed at the time.  The M4A3 76 has the later style hull while the M4A3 75 has the earlier style hull as many of them did.  The nice thing about that is it allows for earlier M4 variants to be skinned in particular other Allied country Shermans.

Thanks, that clears up the confusion.
