Video improvements
« on: December 22, 2000, 06:16:00 PM »
I've been looking at the ASUS v7700 GeForce2 deluxe for it's video in/out properties.

I presently am using a CL Graphics Blaster TNT2 Ultra with a P3 600.

Will I notice an improvement in fps with the GeForce? Or am I limited by my cpu? I'd like to put the TNT2 Ultra into my celeron 300 box and get that running too.

Thx in advance...any advice appreciated.

I'm sure you will see a nice improvement going to a geforce card, as well as you will be able to use FSAA.  I wouldn't recommend a geforce card with possibly the exception of the MX due to its price, to anyone running anything less than 600 mhz.

I used to have Cel400&TNT2u; ~35fps.
Changed to PIII 700 with same card ~45fps.
OverClocked cpu to 933 and GfMX card 70-90fps

All 1024*768 32bit
