More axis aircraft.
« on: July 13, 2010, 05:21:31 PM »
I would love to see more axis aircraft. I'm of course a bit bias since I'm in a Luftwaffe squad that only flys German aircraft lol. Still there are many 190a variants and 190d variants that could be put in with little effort but would give more choices and wow it sure would be great to have more than one German bomber to choose from. How about a HE111 or ju52 or something else. I know people think they would be hanger queens but i know the jg squads that fly only German planes would love to see more.

Also i think there needs to be more Japanese  planes. It seems in the fso its a choice of Zeke or Zeke or the Zeke with a few others tossed in and the other day in ava we have the I-16 subbing for something.  How about the JM2 or the ki-43 or something.  Again i dont think they would be hanger queens and it just might spark a IJN squad or something because Ive been here for just over a year and never seen a Japanese squad.

Anyways i know it just a wish but still.

Because they are a Ninja squad.

He 111 and Do 17 would be great for Battle of Britain.
No thank you Turkish, I'm sweet enough.

You must fly at the wrong time, there's at least 1 that I know of.

Since i started playing this game maybe a year or two ago ive been dyeing to see new German bombers...or any new axis bombers for that matter, its just that Germany had some decent bombers from the DO17-217 JU88-188 MAYBE HE177.  You have both early war models and middle-late war models
so many different variants of German fighters to chose from maybe the three cannon 190 d12.  Their is just so much variation that you could include with these German planes from installing new engines in the later war 109s (high alt versions AS i think)to all the different armaments including the 4 small bombs for the wings, different weapon systems.BF 410

Yes i couldn't agree more. I know most people prefer to fly American aircraft and British and that's why there are so many of each class to choose from BUT maybe if there was a greater selection of variants and buffs more would play axis and play axis in the fso too.

Or maybe people would just fly what they want to, like they do now.  It always amazes me how many
folks limit their choices even with the wonderful planeset we have now.  If Dale wanted to, he could give us
one generic aircraft and say "This is it, have fun!"

Instead we have dozens of choices, works for me.

Yea because that would have been the smart thing to do right....

just because it could be worse why bother improving on it right?

Knowing what the answer would be, as it's said every time someone asks for another Spitfire variant.  How many 109s and 190s do you need? :)

In terms of German bombers, I'd imagine the question comes down to how much use they'd get beyond historical scenarios.  None of the bombers described have even remotely the survivability of the heavies or medium bombers in game already.

A lot of folks ask for the He111.  Again, for the B of B scenarios it would be nice.   I'd bet the house however that once the novelty wore off, it wouldn't get used even remotely in the MA.  One HO shot by a 4 cannon bird into that all glass cockpit, and that's all she wrote.  There is a reason they went to night bombing.

At this point I'd imagine the only LW bird that might get a fair amount of use if added might be the Me 410.

In terms of Japanese birds, the uses again would be scenario oriented.  Ki-43 and Betty being the most obvious for that use.  MA use would be minimal again as outside of the diehards willing to fight in less then the best, their use would be minimal

I agree with guppy about the 111 111% if it gets added, It would turn into a B25C (which I fly allot) It would be nice to have along with the wellington, or the Betty, but sadly if it doesn't have more defensive guns then the maginot line people just wont use it in the MA :(
