Sorry for all spelling mistakesEarly in the morning, a 3 fighter scout element departs from their base as the sun is rising.

The warriors form up for they know they are in for a battle they will never forget...

The small gruppe of 109Es run into the main group of the RAF's hardened Hurricane Mk.1 pilots. Out numbered and out gunned the small band of German fighters clear each others 6 o'clocks and try to stay alive.

A flier of the gruppe (o2b1ace) is in bad condition with engine hit and blood splattered on his windscreen. The doomed pilot knows he has little chance of living so he tells his wingmen to go on with out him. He vailiantly fights to the death 3 versus 1, after a while communications have been silenced from this pilot.

Knowing that they must not let their wingman die in vein the remaining two fighter pilots land to refeul and get some more ammo.

With the taste of blood in their mouths the sharks of JG27 depart for the enemy's main base, they know it will not be hard but they will avenege their fallen comrade!
Everything seems to be going smooth, to smooth for being 50 miles withing enemy radar...THEN! "Look look at them, their rearming!" Yells the gruppe Oberst! (tuk151)
The two blood thirsty 109 pilots dive in to avenge all the bomber that were shot down in the attack and mainly their wingman.
RIDIGDIGDIGDIG BOOM! A Hurricane Mk. 1 blows up on the runway.

Zooming back out of the base flak the young Luftwaffe flieger (strokes) spots another RAF pilot recovering from a stall and decided to make his shot.

The two battered and bruised pilots make a heading towards home, when all of the sudden four more Hurricanes are spotted low on the deck! Not having forgotten the prior engagement that lost them their friend the dive in and start to wreck havoc! Two of the hurricanes run back to their base.
It is now two versus two. The superior Luftwaffe design easily out maneuvers the hurricane slow making it easy to pick these last two pilots.
The young flieger has only his 7.7mm left so he aims for the cockpit of the enemy's plane cockpit. Firing blind he does not realize he has scored direct hits on the cockpit he pulls away, when he hears the sound of the explosion behind him he is puzzled and sees that he has scored his fifth kill of the day, the young flieger has now become and ace!

On the sweet terra that they came from the Luftwaffe pilots may have not scored a victory for their nation with the failure of their overall mission, but they realize they have scored a victory for themselves.
