If we are going to be forced to have this ENY thing.

At least make it about numbers in flight and not whos on.
Why should we pay for little jimmy leaving the game logged in and mommy made him go clean?

That is a good idea, but is there even a way to tell if someone has been in the tower for a couple of hours or spawn camping for a few? Seems to me it'd be hard to implement. The ultimate way around the ENY is not to limit yourself to just the high dollar rides.

yeah im gonna up and defend with ju88s against a horde because some guys stay logged in just so they can keep a spot in the arena when they get home.
ENY is pointless. It doesnt stop the hording.

This is how i see it. With ENY you create caps issues. how? Because the loyals run to the other arena. With cap issues you create ENY issues. How? by making everyone pile in to that certain arena. It isnt rocket science. 80% of the guys in the MA are loyal to their little chess piece. They refuse to switch to balance out sides. Its just one big snowball effect. All the way down to creating the horde that ENY is supposed to "fix"

Nothing more than my opinion. Not like something will ever be done about caps or ENY. They do nothing more than hinder the players. I guess i felt the need to whine about it.

Things can work out on paper and in idea. But never work out in reality or when its put to use. I know this from being a musician and going to college for architectural engineering. Just because i want to play a song in 4/4 time doesnt mean it will make the song sound the best.

Im finish carpenter by trade and do work for up-scale home owners.  Going from what the customer asked for, to the architect and to the finish product is almost never the same but at least the customer gets what they want in the end, well at least they think they did....   :D

Your ENY problems can be fixed if you switch countries. Simple alternative. No extra coading for HTC. Afterall, switching to low numbers is encouraged by HTC.

Having an afk timer does not work... there are many ways around them. Not to mention, I can hear the whines now, "I logged in to pink so I can fly with my squad and I got logged off. This isn't unlimited play for $15, I want my money back."

If anything, they should expand eny to account for zones. This way, even if your side has a lot of numbers, you can fly against a larger force in the area and not suffer from ENY at all.

For example, you log on and there is an ENY penalty of 10 for your side. So, you find the biggest pile of red you can find with the smallest green and your ENY penalty is gone. In fact, ENY may even affect the other side if their numbers are high enough for the zone, regardless of the numbers of players they do not have.

I have the answer.... brace yourselves.  Get rid of the arena caps.  People stay logged into arenas because all their buddies are there, at least I do.  If I have to go run an errand I stay logged on when I get back I can still fly with the boys.  Only other answer would be to have country based arena caps would would probably even more cumbersome than the present system.

The ENY is not perfect that's for sure. But the root of the problem is (like you said), with the country loyal types. The same goes for the cap problem we have to. It really boils down to the players to control both these issues. I don't know how high the eny was when you had to up 88s. I guessing pretty damned high...25+. When it gets that high it's just becomes stupid I agree. But like I say, I really think the ENY is a good tool IF the players cooperate.......which they never do.  :(
