Ya, they get 25 perks for resetting it.  Lame.  That map was a blast.

Well, capture a bunch of bases, and keep resetting the maps until it cycles back in!   :x

Let me guess ... they owned the north section of the map ? ... and the country that got reset owned the south section of the map ?

Yep.  That's the only real problem with that map, otherwise it's one of the best ones we've had.

First time I saw the map, I thought it was going to be one of those  maps where people go, "hey, lets just level the bases since we can't really sneak any. Still easy for us to pad our scores, isn't it".

But I had some great fights with Komandos Nowonty, particularly Brenlo. I got the crap beat outa me, but it was still fun.

Oh well, I still have my memories of Mindnao:

It was the map I learned that the Ta-152 would glide 4 sectors to get home safely from 20K (North side of the map... landed on one of the islands after losing the radiator to a set of Lancasters).

It was the map I learned just how well the FM-2 turned (in a me on 10 on the SE side of the island... I died but will never forget that day).

It was the map that I shot up an A-20 with my last bit of ammo, then stayed 40 yards directly below him for about 5 minutes in my Spit as he manouvered like crazy trying to find/get away from me (just off the E central side of the island).

It was the site of one of the best defensive spiral's transitioning to a stall fight I've ever been in (NE section of the island).

It was the site of my famed B-17 mission in which I spawned 10 sets of B-17's out of the hangers (all crashed but two of us taking off from the narrow land bases on the W side of the map).

It was the only map HT gave us after the arena split (after weeks upon weeks I lobbied to get it removed... little did I know they'd remove it for several years).

Oh well... hope I get to see it next time.

Knits had the N section, SE was Bish and SW was rook when I signed off.  Bish had A1 and were spawning into the knitland city.  Most of the map was Bish and Rook as they seemed to be uninterested in capturing anything but knitland last night.

It's also the map of the famous JB 50+ Ju87 HQ raid on the north-west country. I think it was closer to 75 Stuka's, everyone yelling "STUKA" the whole time on vox... I'm not shy about it, it was my idea, JB42 posted the mission because he was CO... it was right after the 87 came out in-game.

There's film of it somewhere. That night we also did a 50+ player B26 formation mission to the north-east HQ.

Good fun, good times just goofing off.

I always loved the 5 or 6 sector NOE raid to, I believe it was A21 (all the way to the west). If you grabbed that field, you could take the pressure off from the attacking country that owned the W-SW section of the map.

If you got that field, you could always expect a constant flow of fighters coming from the base to the north ... thru that valley ... lots of fights and fun.
