I don't use the gun sight rings at all. I look for the rounds to be either going over or under the target in the case of aircraft flying directly over head. Then adjust accordingly.

I was simply curious. When shooting aircraft I don't use zoom. I get better results on my 1.5k and closer shots.

I know you can hit cons with the soft gun as long as they are in ICON range. I received a PM once rudely complimenting my game hack because one of my lucky rounds took the tail off of the PMers F6f just short of 6k away.

you sure about that? the max range for the gun I was able to determine was 4725 yds..

as for aiming, yea i never use the rings at all.. i use dot on screen. for normal use, head is all the way up which puts the dot about a half inch above the rings. if i need to lob at gv's, i move head off to the right. occasionally use f5-f8 view for gv hidden behind hills also

Yeah I am sure of it I have hit & killed aircraft at 6k & on the odd occasion with no icon in sight as well.
