Is there any way to block my browser from accessing google stuff?

I mean, every time I click on any website no matter what it is, on the bottom it always connects to google something.

ive seen googlesyndication , googleinfometrics, and many other google-this and that things that the browser connects to before it loads the page im looking at.

im really tired of having to wait the 2 to 8 seconds that the browser takes connecting to all that google crap.

Which browser are you using?? IE8... If that's the case get rid of it and get firefox. That may take care of your problem.

Yeah if your not using Firefox then I highly suggest you get it, it's way better then any other browser out there.  Like for me personally I like it because of the automatic spell check function that's built into it, any time you misspell a word it puts a red line under it, you right click it & it gives you correct suggestions, really handy for when your posting on forums.

i have all 3. IE, chrome and firefox.

its not something that the browsers stop even on highest setting. websites on their own always seem to connect to google something.

if you click on the drop down you have a few search engines to use other than Google... that is on firefox.... top right hand corner... not sure if that changes it for you...A quick check using yahoo and nothing google was seen

Might wanna check what add-ons you may have installed, sounds like you have some type of Google add-on running, go to "Tools" & options and look around in there.

Also maybe post this in the "Hardware & Software" forum, the guys in there should be able to help you out a lot more then in here.

The 'NoScript' addon for Firefox might be what you want.

Tac, you either have some software from Google installed, in which case, you will have to get rid of it, or your computer is being victimized by malware/spyware pretending to be Google.

Just as an aside, Google is not a company to be trusted.  Try blocking a Google cookie.  Most of the browsers cannot block them as Google has figured out how to get around most blocks you can place in the browser.

The recent Wifi fiasco where Google was caught stealing personal data from users should be enough to give anyone some level of concern over anything related to Google.

i doubt its malware as its not a redirect or anything. I think it is just scripts or stuff google uses to track traffic and stuff... but it still sucks imo. and I dont see any google software installed on my system or any browsers (heck I dont ever install any browser toolbars or any of that sort of thing).

i'll try the noscript addon and we'll see.

its malware.had the same thing recently. restart in safe mode, run the microsoft malware removal tool. seemed to take care of it for me.
