Invisible CV
« on: July 22, 2010, 10:16:04 AM »
I notice earlier that when I go to the hanger on a cv and enter F3 mode that the CV is invisible.

This is from the tower in F3 mode

And this is from the hanger in F3 mode

I'm not sure this is really a bug... why?  Well lets see what happens when in a hanger of an airbase...

It shows a pseudo external view of the insides of the hanger so you can see the plane you are selecting, loadout, and all of that.  If you F3 out of there, then you see the hanger building.

Now... the "hanger" on the carrier is much, much smaller... not necessarily in area, but in height.  To get the same 'overhead' pseudo external view, the carrier itself has to be made invisible so you're actually looking down on the plane, not down onto the ceiling of the "hanger" room.

When you switch to F3 mode, the carrier continues to be invisible.  If you were to zoom in, then most likely you would see the F4U-1C that you have selected sitting on a small platform.

Thanks for the help. You are spot on!  :salute
