Sound pack volume control
« on: July 23, 2010, 09:29:07 AM »
I thought a simple solution to adjusting sounds under the new sound system would be to go into each individual .wav file (engine start, gear, flaps, etc.) and adjust the volume slider to suit my preference. I was disappointed to find if I lowered the volume slider on one effect, such as engine start, the volume slider for all other .wav files in the folder adjusted accordingly. Inotherwords, adjusting the  volume in one .wav file adjusted the volume in all .wav files for a particular plane or GV folder. Is there a way to adjust volume separately for each individual .wav file? It seems this could be a solution to having control over individual game sounds. I use mainly Sketches sound pack with some Tic Tok and Ranger mixed in.

You have to use a sound editing software like GoldWave, or Nero and edit the actual files.
