Sound quality after First Patch
« on: July 24, 2010, 10:15:55 PM »
Its better.  I can at least hear the stall horn now but it should still be louder and the stall buffet needs to be louder.

I still can not hear flaps and gear and I would like my engine sound a little quieter. (which might actually solve the flaps and gear issue)

I still have some issues with some sounds being absurdly loud. The guns in particular are still too overpowering.

maybe in the future....

advanced tab under each sound tab where you can change a few more settings with the sound, I believe they will continue to try and improve quality in the sound department.

They should definitely put internal AND external engine noise on one slider. That way you can't turn down your own engine and turn up the volume of everyone else's. If you turn down your own engine volume it should turn down your opponent's as well....

I concur. Everything else sounds fine but without an immediate visual indicator or a RL objec to grab onto to check would rather have the flaps audible enough to hear more clearly

for me everything's the same.  i mostly fly the 109 and everything is the same if anything i would say its a bit better over all.  I have never been able to hear the flaps or gear sounds in the plane before and now after the patch.  but other planes i could hear the flap noise and gear, so it seems to be plane specific for me at least and use the akdogs sound pack.   i think we just gotta wait for updated sounds to come out.
