Setting: European Countryside. The Knight general at his staff are surveying the area to determine the location of a new airfield. Note... all actors are to have a British accent.
Scene 34:
General - All right chaps... I have decided the best place to build the new airfield is in that valley right over there. (points with riding crop)
Aide #1 - Very good sir! And what sort of defenses shall we be deploying? (holds up map of plans to air field)
General - Well let's see shall we (looks at map)... Let's beef it up a bit shall we? Put in some deadly accurate, computer controlled anti aircraft guns here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here. (smacks map with riding crop each time he says "here")
Aide #1 - Very good sir...
General - And... some incredibly long range mannable anti aircraft guns here... here... here... here.... aaaaaaand.... here! (smacks map with riding crop each time he says "here")
Aide #1 - Right sir.
General - (Smiles and places his hands behind his back in satisfaction)
(long pause)
Aide #2 - (clears throat) No umm... anti tank guns sir?
General - (surprised) Anti tank guns?!
Aide # 2 - Yes sir... in case umm... in case... well to defend against, well... tanks sir.
General - Tanks?
Aide # 3 - Oh yes sir... Tanks. I hear the Bish and Rooks have lots of them!
(all of the staff members nod in agreement)
General - (thinks for a moment... then replies) No... no anti tank guns.
Aide # 2 - No anti tank guns sir?! May I ask why?
General - (smiles) This is an AIR field you twit! No one is going to attack and air field with TANKS. Why, its just... bad form.
Aide # 1, Aide #2, Aid3 # 3 - (look at each other in surprise.. then all say together) Right sir.
(long pause)
General - Well then... is that it then?
Aide # 1 - One more thing sir. Your Headquarters sir.
General - My headquarters?
Aide # 1 - Yes sir. Your headquarters. The single most important spot on the entire base sir. Where shall we build it?
General - Hmmmm.... my headquarters you say? (looks around the area)
(long pause)
General - (smiles and points with his riding crop) How about that little village over there?
Aide # 2 - (surprised) In the village sir?
General - Yes... in the village... Next to the pub.
(long pause)
Aide #1 - (marks the spot on the map) Right sir... and what sort of defenses shall we be placing in the village sir?
General - Defenses? In the village? Are you daft man?
Aide # 1 - I... I'm not sure I understand sir.
General - People live there! We cant go putting guns in the village! What would people think?
Aide # 2 - But sir... your headquarters is...
General - I mean look... if we put guns in the village, then the Rookies and the Bishies are going to want to shoot at them and all that. Then we would have to shoot back now wouldn't we? Rather messy business in a village. No... there will be no guns!
Aide # 1, Aide #2, Aide # 3 - (look at each other in surprise.. then all say together) Right sir.
(long pause)
Aide #1 - Well then sir... is... is there anything else then sir?
General - Yes... I want a flag!
