Time to break up the Old Boys club.

What I would like to see is the top 13 teams in the east and the top 13 teams in the west have their own division. Call it the Premier Conference. The top team in the east and the west would play for the championship.

At the end of the season, the bottom 3 teams in each division would be dropped from the Premier Conference and the top 3 from the next level down would be brought up.

Is someone an EPL fan?

+1       If they want to run with all the big dogs then they need to get off the porch and run in a high caliber conference, and play a tougher schedule for a start, i would love to see Boise play in a Real conference,

Boise State Can't join a better conference. Our school is not big enough. We dont get the accreditation that BSU deserves.

I'm a huge fan, and I'd love a playoff.  I agree that the FCS proves that a playoff system is viable.  The problem for us fans that want to see a playoff is that no one at the university or conference level wants to participate in a playoff system.  I have no idea why, other than that perception among those conference commissioners and athletic directors that a playoff wouldn't be as beneficial as the bowl system.  So, given that, there's no way it will ever happen unless Congress passes a law that mandates it.

I like the format. I think it would stop all the blathering about which team is #1. I also think it would increase the competitiveness. A draft system would be needed though.
