RW not working with my soundcard??

My mic works fine, tested it using the sound recorder. my sounds play fine, works very will in AH. but when i try to use RW, i can only record and send very bad staticy muffeled noise, no clear words or anything. i know its not my mic, so what is it??

I have the same problem but only when I HOST the RW session. If your stuck with dial-up like me you might try having someone else host and see if that makes a difference.

I have a dsl connect. Its not a connection problem, it does it even when i do the RW test thing. when i try to record my own voice using rw, it plays back static. but when i use windoz sound recorder, it sounds normal.

Some sound cards are not compatible with RW.  They have a pretty comprehensive list available at www.resounding.com  (maybe www.rogerwilco.com  too).  I would also try changing RW from DirectSound to WAV recording or vice-versa.

(If you have DX 8 or 8a this needs to be set on WAV recording or else you will get errors when exiting AH.)
