i have Farmers, never had a problem with them at all, there always friendly, helpful in finding all the discounts you deserve, its always good to combine house, auto, boat all with the same company you get a better rate, plus using auto pay they give you an additional 10% off, all those little things add up when it comes to discounts between my house (homeowners) Full Coverage/Glass/Towing on 2 trucks( 2004 F-150 FX4x4 1994 Ranger 4x4) and my MasterCraft Tournament Boat im paying about 165 a month for all,  your rates depend alot on your Age. Driving record, Area where you live and so on, I wouldnt change my Company for nothing

I've been with State Farm for 10 years, my agent rep is not only hot but she does keep me well informed. It's just a pain in the butt dealing with them when I need to change something. Got a quote off USAA and it looks like I can save $300+ a year over my current rates with lower deductibles and higher coverage...customer service ratings look very good. Gonna change Aug 1st.

Just because.

cheap is not allways better, alot of times paying less means the differance between aftermarket/LKQ vs new OEM parts being used on your car.
state farm is the best as far as repair quality standerds, followed closely by progressive.
allways make sure you compair policy coverage before switching, you may not get the same for each provider.

oh trust me I checked all policies line by line just to be sure and they matched word for word even the small print and, like a previous poster, I shop my on a regular basis just to be sure I'm not getting ripped off.  I've had one insurance claim in 10 years and my rates at my former carrier went up.  When they just couldn't bring it down and I shopped it I found a lot of screwballs out there then this little gold nugget.

more important than the company is the amount of coverage you take.

Do NOT ever take the state minimum limits.  You are screwin' yourself you do.

I was an Allstate agent for 8 years and I dealt with day and day out.

FYI, each and every company will have happy or not so happy customers.  There is no such thing as "best", only what is best for you.   :)
