<S> to c17 crew in AK

terrible start to the arctic thunder here in alaska, a crew of 4 on a C17 cargo plane crashed after takeoff all dead. this happened in anchorage, alaska training for arctic thunder earlier today. condolences to family and friends  :salute  :pray

I chose not to. My step-dad (UH-60 ex-crewchief, current mechanic) works up at Richardson, right across from Elmendorf. He went went to have a look.

Going to Arctic Thunder tomorrow (sunday) morning, will take flowers (and pictures of) to the memorial. Was wondering if you were going to be in the area Greens? Or stuck in your bush, heh.

eskimoj i sure as hell would be there if i could. Money isa big problem right now man, a ticket at the least for me to get there to anchorage is around $650.  :mad: whenever i goto anchorage im always spending a few minutes watching planes takeoff from elmendorf. <S>

Yeah, I know how the money situation is. The airshow was great, the missing man formation was especially moving.
