Bomb drop issue
« on: July 29, 2010, 11:00:55 PM »
When in the bombardier position I have selected a salvo of 24/16/12 etc with a delay.  I drop the bombs, they are leaving the bomb bay.  I jump to gunner and bombs quit dropping.

I think the salvo should continue to drop.

Don't jump till they are done. Dead simple.

It's the same for dropping troops.  Just wait until the whole salvo has left...

You're in a bomber, in the  bombsite dropping bombs; just like in real life you're at your most vulnerable.  Get a friend to gun for you or just deal with the 2 seconds it takes to drop your salvo - unless you're dropping 24 in 1-second intervals.  ;)

Oh duh!  My wish is not to have to continue to the point of dead simple.  Bombs dropping, enemy fighter attacking...
Auto pilot continues when one jumps to guns.  I would like the bombardier position to continue as well.  Makes since.  One only has to hit the pickle button once to drop a salvo of all with a delay set.  So the function should continue when one jumps to a different function.

Hmmm... dropping troops.  Jump to guns?  Darn, no guns to jump to.

Have you driven an M3?  Salvo off 10 troops and jump to the gun after a couple troops have left.

I thought this was the Wishlist forum.  So the above is my wish.  Thank you one and all for the criticism of my wish.

It still remains my wish.

This is new and may actually be a bug.

You can't do anything and jump to a gun or go to F3 now and have it complete the action.  I took off in a B-25H last night, hit the gear raise selector and hit F3 to look around.  Gear stopped as soon as I was in F3.  Back to F1, raise gear and stopped in F3 again.

try the flaps in il2 while in f3 mode too.  they will go down but not up you gotta switch to f1 and if switched to f3 before they go fully up they will stay as you originally had them.
