ASS, YES THEY CAN KISS MY ASS, YA WANNA KNOW WHY!!??

1. joystick spikes horrbly on the handle twist axis, and I mean bad, when you go to calibrate it it calibrates itself without even touching it because the needle jumps so bad!

2. CANNOT uninstall the whoopee thing!, or the software that goes with this POS!, try to remove the stick from game controllers and it says, you have to do it from add remove devices, try to do it from there and it says it cant find some whoopee file that doesent even exist!

3. post a question via e-mail get no reply and buncha toejam bellybutton junkmail for their whoopee toejamty products (12 mails so far for trackballs and web cams from them)

4. Call the tech support, NO 1-800 NUMBER, LONG whoopee DISTANCE!!  PUT ON HOLD for 25 whoopee MINIUTES AND THEN TOLD ALL TECHs ARE BUISY AND TO TRY AGAIN LATER AND THEY HANG UP ON ME!!!

I HOPE ALL THE TECHs AT LOGITECH SHRIVEL WITHER AND GROW MUSHROOMS IN THEIR CRACKS!!!!

Wobble I can recommend the MS Sidewinder Precision Pro (Force feedback or not)...If you go for the Force Feedback version make sure you get the first version, it's mucho grande better than the second revision. Just trade that piece of trash you got now for it. I've been a happy owner for over two years now.

Wobble, you crack me up!
There were a BUNCH of posts about the Logitech, both pro and con..........I bought one, loved it for about, oh, 3 months maybe, then started having the same problems you are.......
I borrowed my friend's MS Sidewinder Precision Pro, ahh...............back to smooth flying again!
Actually, I got so used to the button layout on the Wingman, I am gonna hold on to it and but a set of rudder pedals and keep the SOB and MAKE it work!
Only axis I had trouble with was the twist handle, and it was a piece of crap, spiked all day long, etc.......
Buy some pedals, I think you will be happier in the end.........

I hear ya!!!
I downloaded AH demo two days ago after playing WB for a while. Games looks and sounds great w/downloaded sounds!!  I can't fly though because my Logitech Extreme Digital will not hold configuration. (similar problem to previous post) It works fine in every other game.  I've configured it with its own utility and over and over again in AH.   I can't and will not go buy another controller.  Is this bug too small for attention? How 'bout if I uninstall and reinstall the game itself?
I am soundly disappointed.

And the old version, besides costing less, is now bundled with MS Flight Simulator 2000 - a nice evolution in MSFS. I've got the FF Pro and love it.

Never, ever spikes. Period. Finis!

From what I'm reading in the recent posts and a search of the old posts, I quess it will a chore if not impossible to get my wingman controller to work correctly AH.
By the way, I installed the latest drivers and turn off the profiler at startup through msconfig.exe.  The controller in plugged into the sound card.  I have DX8. Would that be problem?  I quess I'll keep searching the posts for a clue.

I have the Wingman Extreme Digital 3d and I connect it via USB.  I use the twist handle, since I don't have rudder pedals.  It's worked great from day one with the default drivers. (3.25)  On the other hand, I tried a Strike force 3d and it was possibly the worst stick I've ever tried.

It seems like with Logitech you have a 50% chance of getting a good stick.

I just hope mine doesn't break down, I really like the way it feels.

Researching past posts worked great.  Took someone's advice about the Logitech Wingman joystick and deleted the stick config file in the AH Dir.  Works fine now.(although I need to adjust scaling).  Lots of practice landings await me now that I can get airborne.

I have a wingman extreme digital 3d too I never could use right, because it won't calibrate in windows at all! It's simply terrible I think! I took it I just had a bad one since I know other people seem to use them I thought.

I lost the recepit to it or I would have returned it a long time ago.

I currently use a Microsoft percision pro and haven't have problem 1 with it yet...
