Friendly collision death?
« on: August 01, 2010, 12:38:37 AM »
VonMessa & myself (same squad) died last night in a friendly collision.  Sadly, neither was filming, but if you look at the logs, we both died at the same time due to a crash with no one getting a kill on us.  Our wings hit, which took them both off, and we went into the drink.  Unless I missed where friendly collisions were turned on, I felt the need to report this. :salute

 :headscratch:
Was off, at least a first.
Taking off from a CV dozens of us flew through each other. Don't know why any CM would change it.

I have had this happen one time in an FSO.  I was in a Stuka, and my gear touched the top of the plane in front of me.  I saw the dust trail from the wheel, and heat the impact.  I managed to pull up just as I touched, so there was no damage.

Tried it again later to see if I could make it happen, and I passed right through the other plane.

Dont know how, or why it happened... but it hasnt  happened since.

I'm sure it was a momentary game glitch.  Just wanted to report it in so folks can be wary of it in the future.  Don't fly too close! :airplane: :airplane:

As far as i know friendly collisions were off all night now that said i didn't look at them after i setup so its possible a crafty gremlin got in there and turned it on.

Had to have been off because there were 30 of us piled on top of each other on the CV deck at the beginning with no ill effect.  Just one of those freak things I suppose.  Sucks that I turned off filming 2 minutes prior because there was no enemy around.  If I had the film, I'd post it in the bug reports forum, but I don't, so on to the next battle. :aok
