Letter's on keyboard disappearing ?????

Ok can anyone tell me why my LETTER's On my KEYBOARD are disappearing PLEASE.

I have had my keyboard for almost 7 years and used this keyboard daily without a single letter fading away or missing.Maybe you just have a cheap keyboard?

The Compaq keyboard that came with my first computer is like that. It's been through hell ever since I was seven years old and still works like the day I got it.

Or could it be ware and tear as i have just figured it out that the key's are the main
 
                           key's i use for Ace's as everything else is done by my Stick buttons.

thats why I ue a backilt keyboard. No letters to wear off, there gone already and the keyboard lights up the letter and numbers from behind

I thought most keyboards were made so that the letters are actually the parts that' AREN'T painted, with the surface color being added later.  This way it is impossible to wear letters off, unless you take the whole key with it.

     My mother used to work for the NJ Dept of Education.  She had to have a tech support guy
in to do some work on her computer one day and he was flabbergasted.  How am I supposed to
work on this??  Apparently my mom is a touch typer and had worn all the letters off her keyboard. 

     She never even looked at the keyboard when typing so she never noticed the letters missing

Bad quality keyboard, a common problem in cheap kb's.

Your problem is still easy compared to what I had a few years ago.

I bought a new laptop and about 2 weeks later my son happily announced that he took all the letters away. Lo and behold all keys except the arrow keys were removed from the keyboard. It as 11pm and I had a 6am wakeup when I needed the laptop for work..

I dug my power key out of my keyboard with a screwdriver. I cant see it any more.

I still have a box of IBM or clones like HT is talking about.

They just have more "feel" to the fingers, seem crisper, to type on.

A bit of noise while typing is no big deal for mean. This one is a KeyTronic, and its been going strong for years now. Other than some parakeet seeds under the space bar that get in the way now and then its in good shape!
