Where to get it: http://www.saitekusa.com/

How to install it:

NukeUSB your X36 - then unplug it.

Export your SGE game profiles to a safe place.

Use the Add/Remove programs utility in your Windows Control panel to remove SGE x.x

Install SGE 3.0 Beta

Good Luck

Thank you 2.3 is OK so far but I guess the newere the better? I'm still excited after the X36 installing flawlessly with CH Pro Pedals under Win98SE. Now I need to find which one of my many USB ports take precedence over another one - re-assigning the controllers ID after every re-boot is a pain .

And God, how I disagree with RangerBob's profile! Gives loads of ideas for development though - <S>!

I have found Game Commander 2 a great addition to my X36.  They have a free download so ya can give it a try.

Drop by the CH Products Web Site and pick up the "Combo Driver". Unplug the pedals and run the install for the Combo Driver. Once that's in place, you'll have a utility in:
\Program Files\CH Products\Pro Pedals USB

called CHDelete.exe. Run that and tell it to remove the pedals. Once that's done, restart Windows. You should end up with the Saitek on ID#1. Plug the pedals in again and they'll go through the "New Hardware" dialog and eventually show up at ID#2. From then on, they should stay at ID#2 through a reboot.

If you ever need to run NukeUSB, unplug the pedals and run CHDelete at the same time. Once you've got the X36 up and running again, plug the pedals in and let them reinstall. The boot order should be okay after that.

The problem is that the IDs are passed out in the same order that two devices were initially installed. When you run NukeUSB, it ends up creating a new install for the X36 which is always later than any existing pedal installation. Running CHDelete and then plugging the pedals in after the X36 has reinstalled makes a new pedal install that's "later" than the X36 install and the IDs should come out in the right order after a restart.

Don't , had to go back to 2.3 . Lost all keycommands twice in 3 hours . Have to link the SGE to the game start again .

With 2.3 played 5 + hours np's .

I will wait till the next patch then try again .

Ranger Bob is sad you didn't like his profile.

Hope it gave you a start with setting up the commands though. Remember that the initial profile was set up back when Saitek provided almost no information on how to program this thing at all.
