New Computer By TD
« on: August 09, 2010, 11:52:47 AM »
Well, on your advice (thanks for the great advice), TD finished my new computer.  Just so everyone knows TillDeath was in Haiti for the past few months graciously helping others.  So, when I posted on this BBS about a new computer, TD, literrally just got back from Haiti.  It has been a pleasure working with him and I wish the IT guys at my company were as helpful (especially to the computer illiterate such as myself).  Again thanks for the advice---and thank you TD!!   :salute

This is almost a mute point.  This machine should run full textures, sliders maxed, shadows maxed, through a furball, during an FSO launch, next to a carrier, and never drop below 59 fps.

Just sayin.

I love how the wires are consolidated behind the motherboard. This will really help streamline the flow of air through the case. Nicely done!  :aok

That is the artistry we have come to expect from Rich.  Also, I know of no other computer builder that will pre-install Aces High, with your old settings folder, and test it b4 delivery.

too pricey for my likes, nice system though very pretty......I built my system  for $400 , and it is more then capable of running Ah, heck I play BC2, modern warfare, bioshock, oblivion, fallout3, and every other game I own, no problems.

I guess if I had no kids, was rich and gullible this would be worth it.

Well, it's up and running--with Rich's patience.  The quality/shadowing is absolutely amazing--everything is on max.  (Remember, I'm coming from an 8 year old Dell Inspiron laptop).  I can't believe how great the graphics are--it really is a cool game.  Plus, the speed....no more stuttering to let the computer catch up.  In fact it's instantaneous.  My frame rates are 59-60....always.  So now when you guys kill me, it's amazing---I try to play often, but am still trying to master ACM.

Ink.... as to your comment, "I guess if I had no kids, was rich and gullible this would be worth it"......I have to respond.....I priced the system before Rich built it and was substantially under what it could have been done for by others.   A little life lesson I've learned raising 4 kids, being married for more years than I care to remember, and working......do your research then get the absolute best quality you can afford from the best source (person) who can provide it.  Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Rich again thanks.

Atticus, I built my current PC and will probably have Rich build my next one in a couple of years.   Not only have we had some of the funniest conversations, but we've ALWAYS gotten down to business with PC related topics.   But even more important, he'll go out of his way to make sure you guys get what you pay for.

You'll love that PC.   :rock

Rich built my machine a couple years ago and he was still there when I called to help me with my video issue.

I did my research.....I did get the best quality for the price, I Built my system for $400, in case you missed that part, I don't mean to knock TillDeaths PC's im not, they are awesome, BUT way over priced, typical of today's world, Pay a very small price for something and sell it at a huge profit.

I have been researching PC's for a few years now, I HATE the companies that put out the parts and every thing that goes with it. way over priced crap that is obsolete the moment you buy it.

4 kids  :rofl you got a ways to go before you catch up with me.

Why gullible?

because this system as far as I know was built to play AH,  it is FAR over the top for that.

again I say I am NOT knocking on tilldeath's system's they are
1- beautiful
2- very well put together( from what I have read from others)

my complaint is with The major companies that rip off the general public by selling them crap that is designed to break after 1 year of use.  and charging big money for it....capitalism at its finest.
