Co-worker of mine had a problem with his 5 year old daughter. Seemed she decided vegatables were not on her dining menu no more. Peas, carrots, corn, green beans, potatoes etc.
We started to talk about food topics for awhile and I remembered an incident involving grape powerade by cokacola company. If you drink enough of grape powerade, then very quickly your bowel movements turn the color green. Something about the type of food dye on a chemical level. Nothing harmful just a little side effect.
That got the hamster wheel turning in our heads.
I asked him if his daughter liked grape kool-aid? Never met a kid who didn't like kool-aid. Sugar galore. He said yes.
A plan began to form in my mind. A dark and sneaky plan.
I told him that to tell her that if she didn't eat her vegatables then she might become unhealthy and her poop will turn green. All he had to do was switch the grape kool-aid in the fridge for grape powerade and give that to her for a couple of days. To a kid, both will be the same taste.
When he told her what will happen if she stopped eating vegatables. She didn't believe him.
A couple of days later. She began to poop green.
She found out why eating vegatables was very good thing to do.
He switched the grape powerade back to grape kool-aid as soon as she began eating her vegatables again. The green poop was gone real quickly.
It always pay to outsmart a child.
