They have something like this in world of tanks.

You have 2 minutes to reconnect and get back into the game and if you do you can leave off where you discoed.

But in WOT your tank is still in the game and still killable. Youre basically a sitting duck and it's lucky to come back to an undamaged tank.

Have it so that when you disconnect, you go into auto pilot and your plane is an afk sitting duck untill you come back to it. And give it a 2 minute timer untill it counts as a death. If you are killed in this period, when you reconnect, you start at the tower.

If youre already in auto pilot, like auto climb, you'll just continue in auto climb or shift X or whatever.

ty sandwich. Was exactly what I was going to suggest. I don't mind if my plane flys along for a minute while i'm getting back in.
I'd rather have a chance at coming back to my sortie than lose the sortie and the perks.

This isn't WOT.   Again, there is no way in hell HTC would ever implement this.

And how do you prevent abuse?

This is an Online game, if you leave, your gone.

There is no "save" or "Pause".

If your discoing in perk planes I'd not fly them for a bit.

I think he's on to something here though.

It seems every time I up a perked ride, I lose it due to a crash as well.

I don't understand what he's talking about with the autopilot and the sitting duck and all that.. I really don't see how that would help!

I think when you take out a perk ride, the ground should change to rubber so that when you crash into it, you just bounce right back up.. no harm no foul.

This will stop all of the crashing when taking up perked rides altogether...

I reluctantly side with the No voters on this one. I say reluctantly because since vers 2.0 I've get disco'd alot. Most of the time the disco's don't show up on my score page. But I can just see this being to easy to abuse for it to work.

I rarely ever disco but when i do it always seems to happen during a long flight or long drive.

Well there's got to be something that can be done. I'm fed up with losing perks and losing an entire bombing run b/c of a disco. I don't disco very often ...

So your fed up with something that rarely ever happens to you ? ...

A frusrstating one at that. I've lost a 262 and 3 C-hogs in the last 2 months from discos. The only nonperk ride I've discoed in was lancs and that happened at 25K.
I don't fly fighters very often so i don't have to many fighter perks. So I'd like to be able to keep them when i disco or let me start back from where I left off.

Start flying high ENY planes with some regularity and your won't have to worry about how many perks you lost when you take the occasional high-perk ride for a sortie.

I've discoed 4 in the last 3 years................. And it is stinky every time....  BUT heck no for this wish, sorry sir.   :salute

At the 2003 Con I was rtb with 6 kills in a Yak-9U with HTC craning his neck, as I hit my final approach.   Then "WHAM!", disco.   He laughed hard and rectified a server issue.   Bottom line though, disco's happen.  We've ALL lost 262's to disco's, don't think you're the only one.

EDIT:  4 times in a 262.....  Much more in general

I disco that many times a week. I had 14 last month. It's the crappy AT&T internet service here. It's not my fault no company can get decent internet service to my town and i don't think I should lose my sortie b/c of it.

Its a GAME !!! It's not like you really die when you get discoed. I don't think you will ever see this happening. You better move to a new town where the internet connections are better.

I'm not worried about the death. It bothers me that I spent 1 to 1 1/2 hours climbing just to lose it b/c of a disco.
