Skydive video from inside the aircraft using a Go Pro.

The video guy at the dropzone handed me the Go Pro and this is the result he came up with. I'm dropping first time student skydivers. It's a lot less boring speeded up set to rock music. The second half is mostly stills of the guys and girls at the dropzone having fun. But no one drank beer while I was flying and I didn't make that low pass either.

The Go Pro is great. I had no idea of how much it would show.

Niiiice!  In high speed like that it looks like it's happening like this:

"Let me open the door so we can get a better view... oh wow!  Lean out there take a good look!  Beautiful, huh?  Oh look out a little more.. OOOOOPS!  DID I DO THAT!!?"

Sigh!! You have missed the obvious. They were travelling as passengers on the plane not jumping. Take a look at the luggage piled at the back in one photo. Did you notice the body board? One guy is wearing a headset and a baseball cap. Not really skydive gear? It's a legal requirement to wear rigs when there are no seats on a Skydive aircraft. No one jumped out that day. They can drink beer if they like as long as I don't. I prefer Vodka myself, straight.

In any case I wasn't even flying that day so my licence is safe.

You would be amazed how many people sit on the plane and tell us that. 'I'm afraid of heights and I don't like planes'. But they still jump. One girl recently screamed so much that ATC heard her as I reported the drop. It was even picked up on a recording of ATC live. You can even hear them scream as they fall away from the aircraft.

I just came back from dropping ten loads today, six hours in the cockpit. I'm bloody exhausted I tell ya.

Yeah it was an easy day, sometimes I've put out sixteen loads. urgh!
