The only people that would possibly give a jug a 10 out of 10 for sexiness would also give this a 10 for sexiness.

They both look about the same. the plane probably handles better though  :D

Dear God....I ran outside and kicked my dog after I watched that.  That has reached a new level of wrongness.

IMO no plane deserves a 10/10 fear factor. The pilot determines that.

OK you are right  but here

Euroope
1939-August 1940 the WW2 fighter was the Me bf 109 e , August 1940-1943 The Spitfire/ Fw190. 1943- 1945 P-51B and D versions Mustang :)

Pacific
1942 - 1943 ( late ) A6m Zero except 1942-1943 was shared closely by the Mk8 Spit. Then 1943-1945 F4U Corsair :)

These are what i believe to be the best for these time's in the different theatre's All though the Russian front is tricky as the i16 was only out classed by the 109's speed and later Russian aircraft where better as time got by. ( If a Russian Player can help please DO :)  )

LOL There is no doubt they were very successful pilots. I would maintain they would have been successful in any aircraft they were assigned. I have spent many hours at the Chino airport in CA where many warbirds are flown and have talked with many the guys who fly them and they all basically say the same thing. Anyways, I dont have a dog in the fight, Im just reporting what I've heard from those who fly warbirds. Im just a GA pilot what do I know?

Ummm, because you're a pilot doe.....nvm that.

I believe the proof is in the pudding and not in what some long winded historian has to say about it. Besides that the stats show that the F6F had the best K/D ratio of any aircraft in the war if I remember correctly. Why wouldn't that plane be considered the best in the war?
Most American historians would tell you the P51D was the best fighter. But I truely believe that would not be so true had the mustang pilots ran into the top German aces in the early part of the war.

But this thread is about the top 10 "AH2" planes. Not the same as real life.
You give the P51s and 38s their high octane fuel and the replys on here would be quite different i think. Present in game flight models does not relate to real life in different times in history. But what do I know, I just live in a van down by the river.
Has anyone even mentioned the 262?

Bullet I have to disagree with the F4U, not down playing the F4U, but many said the Ki-100 matched it, and IMHO, if the circumstances weren't in favor of the allies, the Ki-100 would have been better then all F4U's, accept maybe the 4, if JP wasn't limited to using inferior materials, and low octane fuel, I think that in fair conditions, the 100 would beat the 4U

Fixed for accuracy

I was noting it was the A6M2 and A6M5b but whatever floats your boat

That's only if you know how to fly it  :old:

And this is exactly the point why you can't rate it 8/10 in handling. If you have a plane that requires lots of experience to utilize it's strengths and keep it from sliding down tail first, you can't give it a good handling rating. ;)
