Side changing and CV stealing
« on: August 13, 2010, 03:07:47 PM »
Getting a bit annoying, in a gamey sense.  IMHO folks can spend there money and play as they choose.  I would however like to open opinions to the following idea:

Make the side swaps apply to both LW arenas.  Currently you can log out of one, swap back immediately, and return to your previous arena.  Since I believe some folks who love gaming the game and rolling CVs to where they can find them and sink them exploit this aspect.

Thoughts?

I'm waiting on the dogpile.

Sorry OP but every thread I've ever seen similar to this turns into a huge purse fight and the OP gets flamed at least once.  Good luck though.

Yeah, I know, but no one ever talks options.  For the record:

1.  Play the game however you like, I don't care.
2.  If your idea of fun is to do the topic of the post.... whatever.

This post is to discuss control measures that HTC could impose should they choose.  Like so folks exploit the hill and neutral.  HTC will decide if the concept has merit or not.

Unless they changed it recently, side changing applied to all arenas.  You switch in EW, your stuck on that side no matter which arena you choose.  Or, if I'm mistaken, you cannot switch again for X amount of time.

IIRC, it was even bugged.  May still be.  Switch in LW Blue and wait 50 minutes and try and switch in MW and you get the message that "you must wait 75 minutes before switching sides again."  Or something to that effect.  It actually added time to the wait.

So, in a nutshell, I don't think it's possible to switch sides in one arena and immediately switch back in a different arena.

LW, MW, and EW are not connected. I think the 2 LW arenas are connected.

While it does happen occasionally this goes into the same category as "ZOMG SPI3Z ARE IN THE MANNED ACK".  Mostly it's just paranoid suxxorz being paranoid suxxorz.  The clipboard map makes it easy as pie to keep up SA over your territory, use it.

What folks do or don't with the CVs doesn't interest me in the least anymore. I got sick of the way they were gamed a long time ago.

i think that with an average of 200 people in the arenas, that you can find your fun without having to worry about what someone else is doing with a cv.  :aok
