WHQL 12.41 certified drivers
« on: June 07, 2001, 07:09:00 PM »
Nvidia put 12.41 drivers on their web site yesterday.  They contain optimizations for SSE2 and 3dNow.  They are for win2k specifically, but my guess is win9x drivers are there too.

I ran AH for a while today using them.  I didn't notice a huge fps increase, but I was running 12.10s before.

(I did see one blue flash, but setting mip mapping to high quality again fixed that.)  This driver also seems to have fixed the strange flashing around the wakes of the ships.

I had a problem with 12.xx, aces high had a blue line around it, on the edge of the screen. Really annoying. I'm afraid to try these ones. Besides, there shouldnt be much of an increase on a Geforce2

Considering the 12.xx series contain 3dnow and SSE2 code, yes you will get a Fps boost on a duron animal.

As for the blue line, did you try perhaps changing resolutions and or refresh rate.  (I know I have to run AH at 75 Hz in win2k under the 12.xx series.)
