A note of appreciation...
« on: August 16, 2010, 01:32:53 PM »
I was flying in the MA last w/e and happened upon a d-hawg. He had an advantage in alt but I used a roll maneuver to avoid his first few passes. After that, it wasn't too hard to get his 6. I was in a k-4 and found it pretty easy to get behind and slightly under- where the pos hawg limits vis. to something like nothing. I usually fly the g-14 but was playing around - trying to see if I could make a success of tater-lobbing.

There were a couple of friendlies around but I was closing up on this d-hawg. I knew Floatsup to be nearby - somewhere on my 6 and also maneuvering to get a position on the d-hawg. This was confirmed to me when I heard his engine noise followed by, "you're looking good there -finish him off". I did - in full confidence that somebody both had my six and wasn't going to take the kill.

How many other AH pilots would do such a thing for a relative stranger? Hat's off to Float.

Some say revenge is a dish best served cold. I say it's usually best served hot, chunky, and foaming. Eventually, you will all die in my vengeance vomit firestorm.

If i am in that possition i often ask if i can take a shot if the other player is unable to make the shot. otherwise i let them i dont intend on taking another players kill unless i actually dont see them chasing them if i have dived down and if i do do it i apologise and try to help them get the next one  :salute

Always good to see things of this nature happening in the MAs.  It really speaks to the quality of people we have playing AH.   :salute

I always ask if help is needed when i happened upon two guys in a fite. otherwise I'll stay up watching, 80% will say to stay out, and  I do.  There has been several times when they will ask me to stay out and the friendly gets shot down, and I know the eny con is in pretty bad shape, I'll let him go.  actually once, i got shot down by the guy , i buzzed him and shot bb's way over his head to say hi, well he followed me and shot me down. I flew straight and he was in a really bad shape, i wasn't gonna take advantage of the situation, I figure he deserved an extra kill.  I dont do that often but sometimes I do.
