I'm using the (7.54?) 7.5X Detonator drivers, and have it overclocked (GeForce 2 "Pro") to 250, anything above 250 I get a tearing effect, prolly would with any drivers, no?

Anyone know what the use or how I should use, the 2nd overclock feature, that being "Memory Overspeed' utility ?

Ammo,
Are these the 11.0 drivers?   If so, where do you find them.

I have the Detonator3 drivers from Nvidia, 6.51(latest?).  I do still get the tearing affect at times.

Geforce2 Pro 64 meg.

Hi there -- Rip man you are in deeper than I, I wouldnt even consider teh mods you have at my level of expertise.

Cobra, here is the driver location, it will redirect you to nvidea's site I believe.

I also installed DX8 at the same time...I have a feeling it may have been an indication of the fix, but cant prove it.

I have heard that there are a couplle of things you can do, besides checking your drivers.

First off, make sure that the internet connection icon that is sometimes on your windows taskbar is off.  Also, try higher resolutions.  My Geforce2 GTS performs better at higher resolutions.  I thought that by lowering them, I would get better frame rates.  Well, I kinda did, but got the flickering and tearing.  It is obvious that the card "prefers" to be challenged a bit by the higher settings.  I also would try the 32 bit settings.
The Geforce2 flicker has been around in AH for a while, but I was able to nip them in the butt just by doing these simple things.  Your frame rates might suffer a bit, but they are still very useable, mine are around 30ish at the lowest.

I have mine set at 1280 x 1024, 75 frames per and have never seen any tearing or flickering, use 32 bit color, downloaded the latest nvidia driver, and didnt notice any change, use DX8.0, guess I got lucky.

You can go to dangerousdog.com to get the 11.01 drivers or any version below that and other tweaks as well!

I have an ASUS GEForce2 MX card and have no problems at all with it. I bought a new computer 2 weeks ago so maybe it has updated drivers. Using DirectX8 as well.
