actually that is completely factual. before the throttle had a linkage to the prop speed/rpm control, the manual states that the engine rpm had to reach 3000 before full boost could be wound on with the throttle. later they were linked so you couldnt engage full boost without 3000 rpm. btw full throttle is WEP.
Which manual are you looking at? Even Bullet's Spit 1 reference shows the constant speed control and the throttle had to be full forward (wep) in order to reach 3000 rpm.

NOTE.- On those aircraft which do not have the interconnected throttle and propellor controls the propellor speed control lever must be advanced to the maximum rpm position before the thottle is opened fully.

Bullet an animation issue would likely be less than 10 RPM or as Hitech stated in your related thread, it may be off by a pixel.

remember, you're the one who told hitech that he forgot to model drag in this flight simulator.

Ahem and he did

The game is not boring as such it has no drag factor :)

So, please enlighten us there genius, are you using the word drag as meaning "no fun" or "air resistance"?

I have been flying the spit8 for about, well not sure how long but since i joined, I didnt even now there was a rpm gauge (j/k).  I heard this from one of the best players in the game.  forget the gauges, if you have to constantly look down to see your speed, fuel, etc, you dont have enough time looking around for eny cons and you will get killed.
