CH Analog rudder probs w/Saitek 36X after upgrade
« on: March 31, 2001, 08:27:00 AM »
I just upgraded to a 800 chip, but suddenly, my system does not recognize my analog rudders for the 2nd device (after Saitek 36X combo) in the win98 JS panel.  Shows not connected..won't work in the dedicated game card either, both cards show connected and no conflicts however still will not recognize the rudder pedals (plugged in via an old CH stick)...any clues?

Tried just about everything, even with the X36 deleted (and Nuke USB employed), my CH stick with rudders plugged in will not be recognized by Win98 JS utility in either the dedicated game port or the sound card.

Special note: I have Sound Blaster 16 card, however, upon booting up, I continually get "new hardware detected" for a PCI Audio device which is non-existant on my machine, any clues?

Thanks!

Yes,did a DX8 re-install.

OTW to get new SBlive card and new USB rudders if I can find them.

Why the hell a new chip would suddenly make Win98 JS utility not recognize the 2nd JS is a mystery.

Rip,  I have a similar setup but with tmaster elites. Maybe dx7.0a instead of dx8.  I hear 8 gives the saitek fits.

It could be the Dx 8 as suggested, but I would do just what you are doing by going out and getting a set of CH USB pedals.

You'll love the stability, and all you'll have to do is just plug them in and set up in Aces High. You don't need to download any special USB Joystick files etc as they will work with Aces High right out of the box.
