Microsoft ff 2 with rudder pedels??
« on: June 11, 2001, 07:06:00 PM »
I just caved in today and decided to buy a microsoft ff 2 joystick.  My question is, can i still use my thrustmaster analog rudder pedels instead of that dumb twist stick thing.  I just dont like it, im more used to pushin pedels and i feels more realistic.  Can anyone help me?

Unlike the orginal FFB you shouldn't have a problem using pedals with the FFB2.  I have a cheap 30 dollar racing wheel and have it plugged into my gameport.  No problems using those pedals at all.

Can anyone help me hooking the thing up please?  I dont know how to set it up so both work.  Also, if I hook up the pedels will the twist stick still work the rudder?

Just add both "sticks" to your system.  In the properties box click the tab that takes you to "ID CHANGE" on the sticks.  Make sure the FFB is #1 and the pedals are #2.

In the game goto the stick setup utility and set all your axis to your stick, except for rudder..leave it at none.  Choose your pedals which will also be listed and set the axis for your rudder.

If you have any problem of the stick not reading try going back to the windows properties and switch the ID's around.
