How dark/bright is your room that it will be going into?

dark to the point that I need lights on during the day to keep from bumping into things

When you turn the lights on would they create glare on a shiny semi-reflective surface?

If not, then you would really like plasma in there.

LEDs all the way. have LCD but plasma is still inferior to both LCD and LED. the sharpness of almost all LEDs is almost 1,000-10,000 times as sharp as an LCD

Plasma or even a Front Projector.   LCD and LED's do NOT have the Black Level Quality that a Plasma has.   A Front Projector is at home in a very dark room and Black Levels improve the darker the room is.

Don't even bother with LCD or LED.

Indeed but atleast IMO Plasma is more pleasing to the eyes if you watch TV for awhile. Alot less strain on the eyeballs.

There's not very much difference at all any more between the infamous "black levels" on LED or plasma.
