... I swore in today as Midshipman Fourth Class, United States Navy ROTC at the University of Texas, and signed all my papers. Four more years and I'm in the fleet!

19 years in the Royal Navy - saw a truckload of the world, and got paid for it.

Enjoy it bud, hard work, but worth it.

Are you going to be going to college in Austin? Or one of the other UT campuses?

Good luck to you, my youngest(17)did the deffered enlistment in the Army last month so July next year he'll be going off. Once he does go then I will have one son in the US Army and one in the British Army.

Due to an administration FUBAR at my Highschool, I'm at a school called Houston Tillotson for the next semester until I can transfer to UT Austin for Aeronautical Engineering, but HT is about 10 minutes away from UT Austin, and that's where I report for ROTC.

Congrats Serenity and I hope in 4 years you get to experience the USN how you'd like to, just be prepared if your 1st, 2nd, or even 3rd choices don't pan out but I sincerely hope they do.
