I'm looking to buy a new video card, and am thinking about going for a GeForce 3, but which one? I can't seem to find any comparison reviews out there that compare the various cards made with this chipset.

Anybody in the know?

I am sending the one I just tried out back tomorrow SOB . Elsa 920 , if the game doesn't have T and L support it ( the game fps ) ran slower than my old Nvidia 256 pro 32 mb card

WW2OnLine was 5 fps slower , AH wasn't anyfaster in the standard fps test ( B17 in hanger at A1 ) but in CFS2 that "has" T & L it doubled my fps from mid 30's to mid 70's ( 1024 by 768 32 bit ). I thought I got a good price at buy.com , was $336 and change to my door , they had a deal for 30 bucks off .

I hear that the color better on this card than the gelforce . It won't come till July 3rd , so no reports till then .

hmmm Red, Blue, Elsa? I think I'll go see what Buy.com has, so I can return it if it sucks. I'm using a V5-5500 right now Airspro, so I'm looking for something that can give me as good of a picture with FSAA and improve my frame rates in AH. I guess I'll soon find out if it can deliver what I'm looking for.

-edit- Looks like Best Buy has the Vision Tek model...I'll go pick one up there, as it should be easy to return.

Does anyone know if the geforce 3 has a sharper desktop than than geforce 2 ultra? I went from a voodoo 5500 to a Leadtek 64mb ultra. The fps are great but the text on the icons in the game and clipboard are fuzzier.1280x1240 32 bit. FAA off. And the sky under the fronts and at night is darker resulting in even harder to read icons. The graphics are great though darker overall but when you use the card for desktop or for anything else the crispness of the text is not there. Did you notice that with the ge3? I have the 32mb ati at work with tv. That's a good card, great desktop and opening AH with it, what I can see (cant fly at work), the game looks very good too.

That's nice to know , thanks .

I wish I could tell you that it ( g3) was better Engler but I only had it in my pc for 2 days and most of that was testing ww2online . I get the same effect on my old v card (256 pro) that you write about on your ultra , and have read that it's like that with the new ones also . I surely didn't see a improvment on my desktop when I had it in . I have on my old pc (333 p2) a ATI rage fury pro 32 mb card and it's much brighter in Warbirds than on my new one .

Like I wrote SOB lots to think about , but I wonder why more of these games don't have T & L support ????????????????????

All the goodies plus TV IN/OUT and 3D VR glasses. What else can you wish for?
