Is there any new resolution for the new skins?

External skin files are still 1024 res and I reckon they will probably remain so for the foreseeable future. It is just the cockpit art on new planes and GVs that will be changing to 2048.

Do you realize how much video RAM you would need to support that? 

For 64 planes to be visible, your card would need 2.5GB of video RAM, just for the planes textures.  Nevermind the terrain and ground objects.

I was only joking with Kazan to save face, I didn't know upping the external texture res to 2048 would require such powerfull hardware.

Will the very next plane added/remodelled have 2048 res cockpit art, I really can't wait to see the difference

I really have no clue about that Kazaa.  Greebo has more insight into what is happening there than I do.

I did not know about the 2048 texture size option, until another player pointed it out to me.

There's not a lot to tell really. The interior's artist has four times the number of pixels to work with over any given area. So text is much clearer, rivets, screws etc is more detailed, lines less blocky looking, shading more graduated and so on.

All future planes and GVs will have the new 2048 interior art including the next batch. I doubt that HTC would bother to update older interiors to 2048. It wouldn't be worth the time involved.

Well, at some yet to be determined date HTC will release an update to the game which will include some new rides.

Damn, I've probably said too much now......
