Very cool, I was talkin about solar pannels all day yesterday with my mother for her company. There's a hospital renovation being planned in Long Beach and one of the items needing to be done to bring it to code is to get rid of these old massive concrete pannels that makeup the building's current exterior shell. It has a huge southern exposed face, so we talked about solar panneling it. Besides being green and an energy generating feature, it would save the hosp millions to do it over other normal exterior methods because all the work (other than the demo of the old conrete pannels) can be done externaly by the contractor on scafolding, leading to minimal downtime and loss of services to the hospital due to the construction (which for just the external shell replacement phase is being estimated at over 20kk wigwams using the other methods, so chances are they're gonna love and go with the solar pannels). It's paying to go green.
