ok, this is just too funny. I guess most of you guys in the US already heard this story, but we in Europe are a little behind <- regarding news from the US  ;)

I mean if a guy is catched doing this...so what, maybe no big deal.

But what worries me a bit, is that they brought the news and made her name and her face public. Why? Aren´t there any regulations in the USA, prohibiting media to do this? This "for a few moments happy" women maybe now be the joke of her hometown....

Anyway, I always new that women are more capable in multitasking then men.

Just google "driving with inappropriate alertness" and you should find the story.

And whats the problem with "having tinted windows"?

Starting with the windows, there's usually a limit, depending on the state, for how dark your windows can be tinted.  This is for both safety and law enforcement reasons.  Too dark and it's unsafe to drive at night and there are plenty of dopes that'll do it.  These are also the guys that'll put dark tint covers on their headlights.  The law enforcement aspect is so that cops can see inside the vehicle if it's been stopped so there are no surprises.  Again, the amount and location of tinting can vary from state to state.

As for her name and picture, well that's public information that's available for anyone to find if they want to.  The Smoking Gun specializes in finding these sorts of things and posting them. Embarassing?  Yes.  But not illegal since the woman isn't a victim.  While there's certainly an "entertainment" aspect in TSG publishing it I really don't have any sympathy for her.  While "distracted" she could have run over some kid.

Typically, personal information about a victim, particularly victims of sexual assault/rape, is confidential but I suppose that the amount and type of information that's released may vary from state to state just as tinting laws do.

window tint. some states have limits, some i think don't, and yet others allow it only for medical purposes.

new jersey used to be ok with window tint till about 10 years ago.

a state trooper broke every rule in the book, and died as a result. he pulled over a car with "limo" tint, in the little hours of the morning. he had no other officers with him. he didn't wait for any backup. he walked up on the drivers side of the car. he went past the drivers window, so now he was in front of the driver. he didn't see the people in the back seat, nor did he see the gun that killed him.
new jersey quickly passed a law against window tint after that.

This will get me a 'racist' bias but its true.

At work we had a guy who tinted his civic's windows to the exact same tone of his skin. His skin tone was black with a hint of brown.

You could SEE through the tint on his car no problem. You could see the stuff he put on the car seats 'n all.

But spotting HIM when he drove with no shirt was a challenge.

and yes, the guy did get stopped over a few times because the cops thought the car was being driven by a kid on a joyride (ya know, you cant see their heads over the wheel)  :D

after a few times of that he told us he would drive with a lightly colored shirt.
