joystick problems

After major problems with my microsoft sidewinder, and my microsoft preceision pro joystick, ( and yes interrupts were off etc etc) I went out and purchased the Reflex USB 3d joystick by thrustmaster.
By far, this is the most stable smooth as silk digital joystick I have ever come across.
However, my problem is the USB joystick works about 6 minutes and just stops working.  Nothing freezes up or anything, then I just unplug, then replug the USB connection again, and everything works great again.
I just can't fiqure it out.  It seems to work fine in other flight sims with no problem.  However, It did stop working in warbirds once, and I replugged the USB back in and worked fine.
Under properties, I see my relex 3d joystick, and I have the normal gameport joystick drivers.  The manual dosen't give much information, so I'm going to call the company tomorrow.  My question is, What drivers should always show up in device drivers when you have a usb joystick?????\\
Is there something I'm missing here?
If anyone knows why a usb joystick would just stop working, then pull out the connection, and replug it back in and then its just fine again please let me know.  This is a real ball buster here.
I'm losing all control of joystick and all functions at once.  In other words the plane is flying without any control, hat funtions and whatever until I unplug, and plug back the connection to have it auto detect.

Thx guys

Give me some input please

I only use one USB controller, it is the wingman formula force wheel. I never had the problem you described. However, I use windows 98se and that solved a lot of my bugs I was having before. I would make sure that that joystick is the only one listed in the control panel as active when you fly AH.

You don't need the "Gameport Joystick" driver if you are using USB.  That driver is for running a stick through the MIDI port on the sound card.

Try going into Control Panel, System, and disabling that driver.  Maybe that will help.
